How it works
Current Competition Secretary are Dave Grant/Trevor Fordham and they do their best to organize all Competitions with help of "DataGolf".
At the end of the year next year's planned Competitions will be published in the Competition Diary ”Fixture List”.
During the year, this list can occasionally be changed including; date and content, some Competitions may also apply. Club Competitions are normaly held on Tuesdays and Saturdays and are approx 4-5 per month.
The "Fixture list" and all changes will be published on our Web.
Entries shall be done in the Red Book which is available at the reception Secret Valley. Lists are inserted approximately one month in advance.
All late entries can´t be guaranteed any participation in current Competition. No extra mail or Web post will be sent. The member have to check up Tee times for themselves.
The Handicap Secretary performs the Draw using "DataGolf".
For Medal Competitions, the basic principle handicap order is applied with minor adjustments.
For other Competitions, consideration can be taken for requests about early, middle or late Tee times or partner's Tee time. For non-qualifying/Fun Competitions we do try to mix Ladies and Men as far as it's possible.
Draws will be published on our Web DataGolf link.
One copy will be given to the Reception.
- In case of bad weather: Always check our Web the evening before for possible cancellation.
- If acutely indisposed on the day, contact the Reception Secret Valley.
- In uncertain weather conditions please contact the Reception Secret Valley to check if the Competitions have been cancelled or if the Course is open and if Buggies are allowed.
- Arrive in good time at the Course, pay your fee in the Reception and make sure you are on Tee at least 10 minutes before your Tee time.
During the game we ask you to consider Golf etiquette. Try to keep the same speed as the group in front.
“If a member who has entered any Club Competition subsequently finds that he/she is unable to play then it is their responsibility to notify the organizer, or the Pro-shop, of the absence at least 24 hours before the start of the competition. Failure to observe this rule, unless there is due reason that is acceptable to the Committee, will result in an immediate prohibition of the member from entering the next two Club Competitions.”
Prize giving for the current competition is held in the clubhouse as soon as all groups are in and their results have been updated in ”DataGolf”.
For everyone's sociability, we do want players to stop over for the Prize giving if at all possible.
Results will be published on our Web DataGolf link.
After finished Competition, "Data Golf" have calculated the current handicap changes, which will be announced during the Prize giving.
A list of the changes will be put in the "Handicap Book" in the Reception.
The changes will also be published on our Web.
